A song is a collaboration between text and music. Songwriting is creating a song. In this course, singer-songwriter Didier Leclaire (Kaliber School of Arts) will teach you how to create music and share stories. You will work on the vocal line and accompaniment on guitar or piano. The classes will also cover the role contrasts and patterns play in supporting effective, in-depth communication.
Each participant will write their own song during the course and at the end, we will present our songs to each other. The course is suitable for beginners, but if you have written songs before and simply want to get better at it, it will also help you a lot. It’s a requirement to be able to play at least a few chords on a musical instrument, such as guitar, piano, accordion, harp, etc. You don’t have to be a virtuoso: a good song is just three chords and the truth.
This course is only for employees and students with a valid Union-/Campuscard.
