The University of Twente is proud to host the 2026 University Innovation Fellows Global Summit, bringing together student leaders, faculty champions, and innovation educators from around the world.
The Global Summit is the flagship gathering of the University Innovation Fellows (UIF) program, a global community of students and faculty working to transform higher education and empower the next generation of innovators and changemakers.

Over four days, Fellows and faculty from universities across the globe will come together in Enschede to:
- Share projects and impact from their campuses
- Collaborate across disciplines and cultures
- Explore the future of innovation in higher education
- Build lasting connections within the UIF global network
Through workshops, discussions, and collaborative sessions, participants will explore the theme “Ignite the Future” - reflecting a moment for the UIF community to come together, spark new ideas, and chart the next phase of innovation in higher education.
The Summit will also feature interactive sessions, campus experiences, and opportunities for Fellows to engage with peers, mentors, and innovation leaders.
This year’s gathering is particularly significant as the University of Twente now hosts the global UIF program, continuing the program’s mission of empowering students to become leaders of change in higher education.
