Board blog Sietse: Opening Sport Fields

After two months of working hard for the Student Union, I recognized how exceptional the campus of our university actually is. At our campus students do More Than A Degree to improve themselves. I see lots of activism all around! The sports and arts facilities provide students to relax and stay fit. It’s no surprise that I am very happy with the new tennis courts, Lacrosse and hockey fields. It shows that the University of Twente wants to invest in sports for students.

The new sports accommodations do agree with the High Tech Human Touch policy. The gravel courts have high quality and the water field is very innovative with its camera system. The multifunctional field can be used by a high diversity of sports participants.

The introduction of the courts and fields was a great success. A huge attendance, nice talks and a drink afterwards made sure there was a good atmosphere. Special attention to the three matches during the event, the students worked hard together and shows some perspiration! The same idea should be present in college the next morning, because every student should work hard for every study point.

As the Student Union we are very proud of all students who are playing sports together during their study time. We propagate a high diversity of playing sports. Students play sports with their personal motivation. If you play sports to win games, or to stay fit, or to get more experience: every student should find a place to join at campus UT!

Furthermore, as the Student Union we are very proud to see all sports we have. We see an innovative campus growing and booming. A smoke-free campus ready for the future! A campus for and by students and of course an atmosphere where students are working together!
