What are the Student Union Afternoon Sessions about?
Each quartile, four sessions will be hosted in the afternoon, focusing on your personal development enabling you to reach your full potential. The Student Union Afternoon Sessions will be held on Mondays from 16:45 until 18:30 and will focus on your personal development. All four of the sessions are linked to an overarching theme, enabling you to go to just one session or all four to quadruple your knowledge!
How to join the Student Union Afternoon Sessions?
The Student Union Afternoon Sessions will work with a token system. The tokens are available now with discount at the UnionShop for only €3 (1 p.p.) or at the door for €5. This token will give you access to your first session of choice! At the end of the session, you will receive a new free token for the next session.

Content of the Sessions:
1. Influencing consciously
How to use psychological tricks to positively influence your conservation partner or a group? In this session, you will learn how to convince people. The famous psychological theory of Robert Cialdini will be used to teach you how to apply this theory, the do’s and don'ts and how to protect yourself from these smart strategies of influencing. Now is your chance to learn how to apply the psychological theories!
2. The art of asking questions
Do you ever wonder how to ask the right questions in a lecture, in a job interview or even at an awkward family birthday? This is your time to learn how to ask the right questions. In this way, you are your own boss of the conversation. In this session, you will learn how to put your own
conservation content central, how you can hold grip on the conservation and learn five question techniques for every conversation. Join the session and multiply your knowledge!
3. Strategic negotiating
Do you have any experience in negotiating on vacation? Or maybe you are in the external affairs commission or board? Do you want to improve your negotiating skills? Now we provide a session to improve your negotiating skills! The content of the session includes how to put your effort as a reference point and be your own boss in the negotiation. Join the session and use your learned skills in practice!
4. Speech like Obama
Are you also impressed by the charismatic presentation skills of Barack Obama? We will elaborate the first session about influencing consciously and use the theory of Robert Cialdini of positively influencing. In this session, you will collect all the skills to be your own boss in a presentation. After the session, you will be just as inspiring as Obama!
