Requesting association flag
You might have seen them hanging around the Student Union Boulevard and the Drienerlolaan: the association flags. It is possible for all recognized student organizations to get a flag. In addition, there are no costs attached. So, it’s a win-win situation, in which your association or foundation gets more visibility on campus. Maybe your association gains some new members through this!
Brief overview regarding the boulevard flags:
- Only recognized associations may order a boulevard flag.
- These boulevard flags have a specific size and are displayed exclusively along the boulevard and the rear section of Drienerlolaan.
- All boulevard flags are swapped every three months according to a rotation system, ensuring every association gets a turn.
- Anniversary boulevard flags are subject to different regulations than standard boulevard flags.
- The Student Union coordinates the ordering process for the boulevard flags.
- Orders and designs are arranged in consultation with the Student Union and in collaboration with the Communications Department.
- Associations are not permitted to order boulevard flags independently.
- As mentioned earlier, there are currently no costs associated with the purchase of the first two boulevard flags. However, costs are charged to the association for logo modifications or replacements due to wear and tear.
Currently there is only a limited number of flag poles, compared to the big amount of student organization. Therefore, we created a circulation system. Each three months the flags will be replaced. In this system each association will have an equal opportunity to promote itself.
