Start working for the Student Union!
On a regular base we are looking for students with a passion for the student life on campus and in the city of Enschede. Are you an involved student, and do you want to make sure that every student will make tremendous memories during his/her student life? Then you are at the right address with us!
We are an informal, fun, but also ambitious organization. You will work in our office in the Bastille, with all kinds of students coming in and out throughout the day. Besides the hard work, we organize nice teambuilding activities on a regular basis. Our monthly Student Union Community drink is a good example of this. Furthermore, we also really much like it when you join us for the lunch during lunch break. And finally, you will also receive a nice Student Union zipped hoodie.
What will you do?
As Internationalisation employee you will help support the internationalisation process and stimulate integration. You will do this by supporting the world associations or associations that want to internationalise. Additionally, you will work on information provision and other initiatives which will stimulate integration or improve the student(life) experience of international students. Finally, you will supervise the day to day functioning of one of the internationalisation committees (Buddy, Global Lounge, Connecting Hands, UTMUN). In short, your job will include a variety of tasks and some room for your own preferences is afforded. You are expected to work about 4 hours each week.
What do we expect?
- Ties with the international community
- Being able to build bridges
- An international experience is a pro (e.g. you’re an international student here at UT, or you’ve studied abroad)
- Available for at least 1 year
What is working at the SU like?
At the Student Union you will join a cohesive team, which has fun together and in which your ideas will be taken serious (both within and beyond the scope of your job). Within the Student Union you will join the Internationalisation team, which features two employees and is headed by the portfolio holder Internationalisation & Communication. You will work in close collaboration with these persons.
