Are you an active athlete or present in the theatre or cinema several times a week? And do you want to continue this during your study? Your study may be expensive and far from home, but … the University of Twente offers no less than 43 sports associations and 18 culture associations! The only thing you need to become a member of these associations is the UnionCard. Your UnionCard is of course also a good way to get in touch with fellow students and build up your network!
With the UnionCard you can benefit from all kinds of Xtras, like free swimming in Enschede and free use of pop studios. For the full range of deals look at “UnionCard Xtras” below. You can also follow many different courses with your UnionCard. These are sport- and culture courses, such as Tai Chi, swimming lessons for beginners and pole dancing, as well as painting/drawing, creative welding and djembe.
To become a member of an association you must first register with the association itself. Have you done this? Then the Sports & Culture website will provide you with the option to pay the associations fee. The Association fee is an amount that you pay to the university for membership of the association. In addition to this amount, you may have to pay a contribution to the association itself, for example, for the materials you use and training etc. View all associations here.
In addition to registering with an association, you can also purchase a FitnessCard. When you purchase the FitnessCard you get unlimited access to the fitness and group lessons in the sports center. Look for the range of group lessons here.
Your UnionCard is credited to your student card as a digital product. Do not have a student card yet? No problem! You can simply order the UnionCard directly. Do not forget to check-in at the reception of the Sports Center before you start training.
