Workshop: "Code Less, Build Faster: Developing AI-Assisted Immersive Applications"

Irfan Abbas (Kaunas University of Technology, KTU) will lead a hands-on workshop on how Generative AI can support research, experimentation, and rapid prototyping, using AR/VR development as a practical example.

The workshop will introduce how ChatGPT and Codex can be used throughout the development process, from exploring an idea and generating code to testing, refining, and integrating different tools. Participants will also get a practical introduction to Codex in Windows VS Code, including its interface, settings, and key features.

Through guided exercises and a live XR prototype demonstration, the workshop will explore effective prompting, responsible use of AI coding tools, available models and usage options, and the differences between Codex, Claude Code, and Gemini CLI.

The workshop is open to all levels and departments, and no prior experience in AR/VR or AI-assisted development is required. It is particularly relevant for anyone interested in using state-of-the-art Generative AI tools to explore ideas, develop prototypes, or support their research, regardless of their disciplinary background.
