ACTIVE STUDENT recognition And Edubadgess

Why formal recognition?

As an active student you have meant a great deal to the student community in Enschede. The SU considers it important that you receive recognition and appreciation for your work and dedication. This is why it is possible to apply for Active Student Recognition, which will be awarded in the form of an official certificate. This allows you to show future employers that you have worked for a student organisation. Besides, you can also request an EduBadge, with which you can also show this digitally.

There are four categories: Large Engagement, Small Engagement, Committee Member and Confidential Contact Person (CCP). For the last category, it is only possible to request an EduBadge and not a certificate.

The procedure and conditions are described for each category. Click below on the category you want to learn more about.

Active student RECOGNITION CERTIFICATE AND Edubadge

You can request an Active Student Recognition certificate for your extracurricular activities within the categories of Large Engagement, Small Engagement, and Committee Member. You will receive a printed certificate for this. The certificate is issued by the Executive Board of the University of Twente. Rector Magnificus Tom Veldkamp is involved in the Active Student Recognition and personally signs all recognitions.

You can also request an EduBadge. This is available for the categories Large Engagement, Small Engagement, and Committee Member after you have applied for and received a certificate. For the category Confidential Contact Person (CCP), you can request an EduBadge without having received a certificate. The EduBadge is an exclusive digital badge that showcases your contribution to student life in Enschede and your recognition by the University of Twente. It is easy to share via various social networks, such as LinkedIn. The badge is the ideal way to show your network and potential employers the impact you have made at the University of Twente!"

Receiving the ACTIVE STUDent RECOGNITION AND EDubadge

Once the Microsoft Forms application for Active Student Recognition has been approved, the certificate will be printed and signed by both the Student Union and the Rector Magnificus. Please note that this process may take several weeks after approval. You will also receive an email with the steps to follow, and the information needed to request your EduBadge. Certificates are issued during a general ASR pick-up lunch held in November and April. When your certificate is ready, the Student Union will contact you with the date of the ASR pick-up lunch.

Please note: for the category Confidential Contact Person, it is important to indicate in the form that you are only applying for an EduBadge!
