Are you ready to take on a unique challenge and create an event that inspires, connects, and sparks ideas? TEDxTwenteU offers you the opportunity to bring together passionate speakers and an engaged audience for an unforgettable experience.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of “ideas worth spreading”, TED created the TEDx programme, locally organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
The event in Enschede is called TEDxTwenteU, where the “x” signifies an independently organised TED event. At TEDxTwenteU, inspiring speakers deliver talks designed to spark meaningful conversations and foster lasting connections in an intimate setting.
While TED provides general guidelines for TEDx events, each TEDx, including TEDxTwenteU, is fully self-organised. This means you and your team have the freedom to shape the event: choose the venue, select speakers, and add your own creative touch.

Committee Roles
As part of the organising committee, you can take on one of the following roles:
- Chair
- Finance & Logistics
- Marketing
- Speaker Recruitment & Event Executive
- External Affairs
On average, you will spend 2–3 hours per week working on the event, with the workload increasing as the event date approaches.
