How to Culture Library

Our vision

The How to Culture Library is a library set up for and by students. We want to make culture accessible for all students. Whether you would like to learn how to play the piano or you need a specific tool for that clay sculpture you’re working on or you just want to try something new. We got it all. The library contains a broad collection of items in all kinds of categories, namely; design, handworks (sculpting), literary, movement, music, painting & drawing, photography & film, textile, theater and even more. Students can reserve and borrow these items for free.

Who is it for?

The library is meant for anyone that would like to do anything with culture, whether you are a part of an association or not. The only thing we ask is that you have a Unioncard or Campuscard.

Where to find the library & Opening times?

The How to Culture Library is located in the Apollo room in Vrijhof and is open on request. Simply walk into the Apollo room to see if anyone’s present to help you, or contact the committee via email or Instagram to find a moment to pick up the items you would like to borrow (see the link at the bottom of this page).

How does it work?

To use the library you first need to register as a user. You can do this by contacting the committee via email or direct message on Instagram. To register you will need to leave some contact details and pay a deposit. Once you have been registered you can borrow any item you like from the library. The standard borrowing period is one week for the plus subscription and 3 weeks for the normal subscription, with the option to extend it twice, also one week each time. When you are already registered for the library it is also possible to reserve specific items for a specific moment. Want to know more? See the rules and regulations linked below!
