Last week the official SU board month started. In this month free trainings and sessions are given to all the students who are currently doing a board year, both part-time and full-time. The workshops are very fitting to the current strange pandemic times. Next to this, it gives board members from different kind of associations the possibility to work together and help each other out. The following themes are adressed during this month:
DEALING WITH THE UNEXPECTED:
An interactive lecture on how to deal with the unexpected and the art of pivoting your plans in business and maybe even life. Job will be sharing his personal story that may fit any entrepreneur coming out of university. Not the success story about some girl or guy that made his millions, of which you have heard several off, but an honest story about what most entrepreneurs will face as day2day challenges.
WORKING TOGETHER IN GROUP ROLES:
What is your role when working in groups? When working together with people with different characteristics, you can find yourself ending up in conflicting situations. Therefore, during this workshop you will learn about your qualities, allergies, pitfalls and challenges, which provides insight into your own behavior and your reaction towards that of others. All so to make the collaboration within your team as smooth as possible!
A HEALTHY WORK-LIFE BALANCE:
How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance during your board year? Being a board member makes you juggle a lot of ‘balls’: family, friends, board tasks, and for some even studying. During this workshop, you will (among others) learn how to effectively evaluate and plan your tasks, and receive practical guidelines to reduce your stress levels and to maintain a healthy work-life balance during your board year.
INTERACTIVE LEARNING SESSIONS:
Learn the ins and outs of being a board member by attending this interactive learning session. Together with the vice-president of the UT executive board Mirjam Bult and the SU Board you will discuss a variety of different topics.
Did you become curious? Or would you like to know more? It is still possible to sign yourself up for the upcoming workshops over here.
