This Friday the 12th of March the grand finale of the UT Eco Challenge will be hosted. It is now possible for you to vote!
Over the past few months, we have been working together with Greenhub on a challenge to make student houses more aware of sustainability. 27 Houses signed up, of which 7 houses are now battling for the first prize of €1500.
ROUND 1
For the first round, they had to explain a general idea of how they could make their house more sustainable. They were free to explain it in any way that suited them. Submissions varied from videos to posters, and from PowerPoints to entire essays. The houses that competed all had some very creative and inventive ideas! From all the submissions, 7 houses were picked to continue to the second round.
ROUND 2
For round 2, the top houses had to explain their ideas in more detail. They had to submit a pitch of around 2 minutes, a small text that explains their idea, and a financial plan on how they will spend the prize money. The participating houses in round 2 will win a prize of at least €200, with which they can bring their sustainable ideas to life.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The winners of the UT Eco Challenge will be determined both by public votes and the opinion of a jury. The voting will close on Thursday 11th of March at 12:00.
