Boost your assertiveness

Do you often go along with others? Are you sometimes afraid to say no? Do you often not say something you want to say because you are afraid of what others might think? Or do you simply want to learn how to communicate more clearly and to stand up for yourself? Then this workshop is for you!

Being assertive means to stand up for yourself while still respecting the other person. This relates to principles, goals, needs, wishes, demands, norms, values and setting boundaries in regards to those.

By standing up for yourself and respecting other people, you can avoid conflict. Disagreements can be located and dealt with early;
before they escalate into conflict.

For the Well Being weeks, the Vechtschool will provide an assertiveness training. In this training you will learn:

  • To assert yourself verbally and non-verbally
  • To regulate your emotions
  • To stand up for yourself and your interests
  • To respect another’s interests
  • To deal with negative, positive and constructive criticism
  • To give positive and constructive criticism

Don’t hesitate any longer, join this workshop and learn how to stand up for yourself!
